Pac-Man 256 is inspired by the glitched 256th level of Pac-Man. In the game, the player must continuously navigate an endless maze while avoiding ghosts and using power-ups and power pellets to combat them. Fruits grant a temporary multiplier, and as Pac-Man eats dots, it is up to the player to try to top their high score.

Fun and addictive.

Even Pac-Man has grinding now

I like that they tried something different with the various power-ups, and i like that you can pick from a variety of looks. I dislike the "endless" aspect, where you're always moving north and you never 'complete' a level. I hate how they added unnecessary grinding. Upgrades should make a game more enjoyable, not less.

I grew up playing the original Pac Mac, I played it obsessively for about a year, so when a new Pac Man that was a mobile port was announced I was a bit skeptical but boy was I wrong. I usually don't play mobile games and this one of the only ones on my phone, It is probably my most played game on my phone even 3 years later. I 100% on my phone and I double dipped and bought it again on PC. The game play is just so satifying and addictive best off all I can play it while watching a TV show or when I have 5 mins to spare. My only gripe with the game is that I feel like the progression was a little slow. Now this may come as a surprise but I think this may be my favorite Pac Man game for all of the reason I have said above, I haven't played a game for this long since the original Pac Man.
