A combination dating sim / roguelike / Pokemon style monster raiser, Azure Dreams is an ambitious and flawed, but still successful, big ol' mess of a game. You play as Koh, an average little nobody who lives in a town where the only reasonable career is to raid the impossibly huge tower of death which looms over everything. Your father died in there, giving you ample non-greed reasons for looting the place. Between dungeon raids, you can invest in improving your crummy little town, woo the local ladies, and generally antagonize the prissy rich boy who rules the town with a velvet fist. Overlook the derpy writing, painful polygons, and not-quite-stellar character design and you'll find a neat little relic from yesteryear.
