Gave up on Demon's Souls after about 10 hours. The runbacks are brutal enough, but running out of heals and having to farm more is just ridiculous and tedious. Gave up on Demon's Souls after about 10 hours. The runbacks are brutal enough, but running out of heals and having to farm more is just ridiculous and tedious. I can deal with difficulty but this is such an obvious thing that strikes me as bad game design. I know people love the punishing nature but I can't do it anymore.

I switched to Bloodborne and am having an awesome time, and although the lack of heal refills after death is still present, it's so much more manageable somehow.

It's a shame because I really loved the gameplay of Demon's Souls and the remake looked incredible, but this one single mechanic had me rage quit, list it on eBay, and I had it shipped out the very next morning.

It was sooo bad, so unbalanced. I don't understand the hype. The souls games are 1000x better. This was really really bad

Not a problem, just run at least 15 minutes each time the same path to the boss again, fun and original xD and so much better than having bon 🔥

Just finished my platinum trophy a little ago! It feels great to finally cross this one off my list. Been a souls addict for the better part of a decade now and I never had a chance to play it. Now I can finally say I've finished my Soulsbournekiro Ring platinum trophy collection.

Will write up a review of it in a day or two probably. Just wanted to celebrate a little in the meantime.

As a soulsborne addict, it's been a treat to finally get to play through Demons Souls. I made some really good progress today, finishing up a couple of archstones. But does anyone else find it a little disappointing that most of the archstones only have 2 major areas in them? I would have loved like maybe 1 more in each to really round out their respective themes, rather than just going straight into another boss.

I've prepared myself for Elden Ring 20 days earlier than I thought! I beat Demons Souls Remake this month which was the final FromSoft game on my list. I preordered the Collectors Edition so as soon as the game comes out I'll be radio silent.

So annoyed with myself, hit a wall on one of the bosses last night but because I was so tired I resorted to summoning someone to help. Told myself before I started the game I would go for a solo completion but hey ho.

Ooo here we go... Next game on list right now, my first “official” ps5 exclusive game. I’ve been “trying” to do souls like run where I play different souls like games and try to beat them. Hopefully I can conquer this and enjoy the journey. Let’s see how this goes.

I love the flexibility of how much stuff is available from the start of this game in terms of loot and route decisions. It's nonlinear without being open-world, almost Mega Man-like in terms of potential upgrades and boss order.

Boletarian Palace, "1-1", I think is the best intro level they've done besides Yharnam. Tower of Latria, the jail part, was extremely fun and had an unexpected Bloodborne-y aesthetic to it. 4th archstone bosses were all great. 5th archstone was kind of a nightmare though and all 3 bosses were underwhelming. Can't win 'em all, I guess.

I cleared a lot of the game this weekend, but I feel like I'm about to hit a wall in terms of my stats and equipment. My most needed upgrade material (Bladestone) is apparently only found through random enemy drops... So annoying... I need to figure out how to item dupe. Lol

Level 1-1: Oh wow, the boss is so close to the spawn point. Wonder if this game always does that. (beats boss first try)

Level 2-1: Oh... oh man... okay.

And yeah I have a PS5 now thanks to PS Direct, and it’s pretty sick. This and Astro’s Playroom are great so far.

By the way, if anyone wants an extra challenge, I can confirm that playing Demon’s Souls via PS5 Remote Play is the Dark Souls of Demon’s Souls.

I haven’t played a Souls game in a while so I’m a bit rusty, but damn it’s good to play one of these again even when they frustrate. The game is absolutely stunning too.
