I also appreciate how it subtly references the original Fate series and broader Nasuverse concepts. It never spoils or undermines the other stories, but it gives just enough nods to keep you curious about what might come next.
I do see why pure Fate fans wouild hate it though, it does kind of... play around with loved characters just for the sake of shock or "Oh, look, that character from..." situations.
