"Bushido" is the soul of Japan - an ancient honor code deeply followed by samurai warriors for centuries. Plunge into real world battles across vast 3D environments that you can run, slice and tear through. Sword matches become unbelievably real where one critical blow is the mean difference between death and victory.

Played this game for the first time earlier in the week and within like 20 minutes I could already tell this is a game made perfectly for my tastes. Always liked the idea of stuff like Divekick where it’s basically a 1-hit kill fighting game, but never quite clicked with it. But this one is just perfect. That deliberate pace, the simple but juuust interesting enough combat, the cool setting... As bare-bones as this game is, I love it. The fact that following the Bushido “honor code” or whatever it is actually affects the story is a strange stroke of brilliance, though a bit more explanation of that in-game would have been nice. But yeah, this game feels totally awesome to play, it’s got that slow, impactful feeling that makes me drawn to stuff like Dark Souls, but it’s quick enough to be a party game. Also, first-person mode? Are you serious? This needs a full VR-supported remake immediately.
