Apparently HFW has great wind. I’m a big fan of quality wind in games (I wish there was a pun or joke here, but there isn’t) so I think I’m back to being excited for this game. Give me a game with some nice wind design and I’ll show you a person who loves to just sit and take it …

Figured I'd just scoot this into my "Playing" shelf since the moment it arrives in my hot little hands on Friday, I'm hucking it into that White Tower of mine and heading off to fight the blight!

But, Horizon shipped yesterday, estimated arrival Friday.
Let's go!!!

I like HZD but it was decidedly on the more bloated side of open world games with too many collectables, etc. It came out just as other series, even Assassin's Creed, were dialing back the bloat to present a less cluttered and more exploration focused open world design philosophy. I'm starting to think AAA devs forgot how refreshing it was not to have to deal with bloat and are back on the "moar content means moar money!" bandwagon.
