Preliminary: (To note, I am playing the original DOS version). I see its flaws for sure, but I love the music and most of all I love the Practice feature for me to get used to the clunky controls. I doubt I will play many actual levels, but that was true of most the Lemmings games since I'm not usually a big puzzle game guy (except, apparently, when it comes to Picross). But with great music and this early 3D vibe and a neat starting FMV, I certainly gotta give this more credit than it tends to get. I can't claim I love all the voice soudn effects, but everything is customizable so it's nice.
Even tho I got through only one Fun Level lol, I had fun playing around in general, laughing at mistakes and deaths, and laerning the quirks and mechanics. That being said, as much as I would lvoe to give this a 4 star, the camera controls and other clunkiness that made its average rating so low is what holds me back too.
