Hopped back in to do the dlc characters and potter around a bit I forgot how incredibly impressive this game is. I need to do the stand alone dlc.

Seeking the opinions of the community folks: can I skip the second game and dive straight into this? It’s on sale right now and I do feel more inclined to play this than Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I think I’m in the mood because there were a few moments in TotK that made me reminisce about Xenoblade Chronicles.

I actually beat this at the beginning of 2023, but apparently forgot to update it. While I didn't like Xenoblade 2, this was a masterpiece and is only barely overshadowed by the first game. What a wild ride this was.

I was hoping to get some time to play a few smaller games between now and Tears of the Kingdom... Guess not, back to the giant RPG grind we go! Part of me wants to hold off for a bit just in case they decide to put out a standalone physical release, though. It would look mighty nice next to the rest of my Xenoblade collection.

You know you've had a good time with a game when you're genuinely sad it's over and you'll miss the characters.
A friend of mine once said he deliberately didn't finish big story driven games with likeable casts because he didn't want to say goodbye.
I get it. I get it...

Hit the credits last night! Review is probably going to take me a couple of days. Not really sure how I feel.

Still workin' on this one!
I'm desperately trying to finish before Scarlet/Violet on Friday, but after not playing for a month because I was going through Temtem, and then a week of being really busy shortly after I picked it back up, I am behindddd.

And after 140 hours I managed to connect the both sides of the map by foot! Finally!
There's no way at all I'm starting a new game + but I do want to finish all quests before calling it quits.

Look, I know I'm late to the party, but I've started Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Wish me luck! For a do not have much spare time.
I want to play this one properly too, not skipping over some of the key sub plots and character stories like I do in some games just to get through them.

With that in mind, is it worth playing on Easy for the sake of a faster playthrough? Or would that take away from the experience? I know some people on here recoil in horror at the very notion of selecting a less challenging mode than intended, but there's also others who recognize my plight of adult matters getting in the way of playtime.

100 hours in and still haven't found a way to connect the first half of the map with the second - with the exception of fast travel, forcing me to imagine scenarios in which it work harmoniusly. They are really putting the role playing in RPG.
