So far it's pretty good, but came to it after LoU 1&2 and it feels somewhat inconsequential in comparison. A fair amount of climbing/swinging which is fun but not too demanding. Also, as usual, vehicles give me motion sickness.

Manage to play a second playthrough of the game after a very long time of not playing it and so far liked it better than before

The gameplay and graphics of course hold up since its release. The story is great and very different from the past games. The writing is stellar and the dialogue is clever and packed with wit. I’m on chapter 3 as I’m playing.
I guess I’m a bit starry eyed on the game from the constant praise I hear on it and from retrospective reviews I watch on youtube but I will post another update when I reach half of the game to see if the game holds up really well in an era of emerging next gen titles

No llega a los niveles de excelencia de su segunda parte pero consigue hacer una aventura interesante variada y refinada, un cierre digno.

Chapter 17: Still enjoying the game for sure. But the gameplay loop feels very repetitive. The climbing + platforming is neat-looking, but never feels remotely tense, because you can pull off absurd, superhuman leaps and climbing tricks. When you're doing it for the 50th time it starts to feel pretty stale, despite the beautiful scenery.

Just hit Chapter 12. While I really enjoy the gameplay, the story is off-key in a modern context. Nate, Sam, and Sully basically tour across the world destroying towns and cultural artifacts and leaving tons of collateral damage in their wake, all to save Sam's life and find treasure. Taking a step back from that, imagine the impact on the …

Nate, Sam, and Sully basically tour across the world destroying towns and cultural artifacts and leaving tons of collateral damage in their wake, all to save Sam's life and find treasure. Taking a step back from that, imagine the impact on the local economies and lives. In the chapter I just finished, they drove Jeeps away from armored vehicles, smashing countless food stalls, shops, and infrastructure in what appear to be poor, desolate places. All seems a bit selfish. Ultimately the series doesn't take on the moral considerations and weight of its sister series, Last of Us, and that's OK, but it feels pretty damn colonial, especially in contrast to a game that DOES take the time to think through issues, like LoU.

Chapter 11: Definitely enjoying this game and loved the clock tower climbing scenario. I like that the game is a nice mix of puzzles, platforming, and combat. I will say that the formula is a little rinse and repeat - you do some cool platforming and puzzle solving, then Rafe's guys show up and you have to fight your way …

This has happened at least 3 times now.

Just started Chapter 5. While I'm definitely enjoying the game so far, I am a little tired of it skipping all over the place between different points in time. I just want to play the main story. I just want to play the main story. I love how this game opened up RIGHT into the action and got me started on the objective at hand. All this back-filled story is really dragging down the pace now. I hope that once I reach the island I can just play through the story from that point forward.

Probably my favorite encounter in A Thief's End. The 4th game really brought the epicness into the combat in a way that previous titles failed to do. Going from stealth into a frantic gunfight feels great every time.

Chapter 5 was pretty long but in a good way. I enjoyed the whole heist and getaway that was presented. It was cool seeing another character show up from the previous games. I am still amazed when I see the backgrounds in the series, really well done on the scenery. The set pieces have been good so far, but it feels like Uncharted 2 might have done better in this area. Still much more of the game to go and even though I am writing this post I am currently in chapter 10.

t 1 nod. I really wish Naughty Dog would make another cartoony game again.
Oh yeah the surprise at the end of the chapter was pretty nicely done!
