I started checking the news on my phone because i got so bored during the first, seemingly endless battle. Kingdom Wars 2 is a truly terrible product in pretty much every way possible. Its only use is as a bad example. Seriously, they should use this game in game design courses and just tell students to do the exact opposite of what the developers did in every instance.

There's no save function. The graphics are so bad they would've been embarassing a decade ago. You need gems to unlock all but the most basic buildings and the like. Yes, there are F2P elements in a €17 "game".

The gameplay itself is awful. You can barely tell what's going on. For instance, peasants don't have any icon or the like to indicate their current task. Menus are in all the wrong places. Recruiting muliple units shows a white number on a tiny circle with a yellow background. Units respond poorly. Et cetera. This game fails at even the most basic level.

The opening mission takes over half an hour, in part due to the unskippable tutorial elements. I've been playing RTS games since Dune 2, i know how to move the camera. The "game" is desperately holding on to your hand, wanting you to buy specific upgrades on your wall. After building up your defenses the orcs assault and it's a total snoozefest. Pretty much the only thing you can do is make your archers launch fire arrows once. The rest of the time you're just sitting there with nothing to do.

After about 25 minutes of watching an awful low-res battle you win. And now you get to play as the orcs. After building up huge defenses to stop the orcs... Wat.
