Dark Seed II continues the nightmare of Mike Dawson where the designs of H.R. Giger are pivotal in this horror point 'n click adventure. Players will be swapping between the Normal World and the Dark World, with 75 prerendered 3D locations in total. There are 40 characters to interact with. The goal is to overthrow the Behemoth of the Dark World and cut through the corruption of the Normal World. Movement, action and dialogue interaction modes are toggled between using the right mouse button, with the full screen used for location display unless the game menu or inventory bars are called into use. Better Than The Avg Rating Implies, And Beautiful, But Still Didn't Click

Preliminary: I'm surprised this is rated so lowly, it has such a beautiful Look to the houses and the Dark World (Alien designer indeed). But also something about the way the colors and shadows and, uh, edges of objects are, it's like the Humongous Entertainment/Monkey Island softness, but felt very modern and advanced. Preliminary: I'm surprised this is rated so lowly, it has such a beautiful Look to the houses and the Dark World (Alien designer indeed). But also something about the way the colors and shadows and, uh, edges of objects are, it's like the Humongous Entertainment/Monkey Island softness, but felt very modern and advanced. Hard to explain exactly. The FMV vibe to the characters, of course, proves silly, as does much of the dialog, but it's a high-quality graphic adventure game imo and has many QoL features, namely skipping through dialog. Like the first one, though, it just wasn't something I wanted to play all the way through.
