All players approach games in varied ways, making different choices. No one ever plays in exactly the same way. Indeed, how a person plays can be an indicator of their personality... And Refind Self is a game where you can learn all about that personality.

I am a sucker for personality tests, even though I understand that it is very unlikely that those things are accurate. Irrational, I know, but I always have some curiosity. That's when I saw this game, that claims to know your personality based on the way you play. It takes into account how long it takes you to do anything, dialogue choices, things you skip, etc. It would have been a fun experience if only the game was fun. It was boring as hell (I mean, I guess hell isn't boring, right?). You just explore at your own pace, find notes and talk to other robots in order to piece together the story. I forgot to say that you are playing as an Emotional AI. You are a robot who talks to other robots in a world inhabited by robots. Apparently humans are gone. This is where things get kind of frustrating. In order to get you're whole personality traits, you have to play the game 3 times (through all the boringness...). Also, this is where the game fails to actually give an accurate personality test. It forces you to play three times, and what most people will do is try different paths and options that they didn't get to try before. I mean, who would play the game in the same way three times... And this just forces the personality test to give you traits that may not actually be who you really are. Anyways... if you're curious about it, get it on sale. Don't pay regular price. A single playthrough is about an hour long.
