I think maybe this one needed a little more time in the oven; combat has a strange feeling, particularly the melee attacks (in the tutorial they want you to destroy environmental objects with melee attacks -- I thought I was doing something wrong because it takes like 5 hits for this giant mech to destroy a pickup truck. Just doesn't seem scaled properly.) The graphics and color palette are also just unappealing to me. It looks like Costume Quest was turned into a third-person mech action game, which I'm not sure fits the game. The story also seemed pretty generic and did not entice me to keep playing.

Annapurna's name got me to try it out on Game Pass, but all this stuff got me to turn it off before I got to any of the base-building stuff it advertises.

Bounty Star is a fun mech action game with surprising systems, fun characters, and some light base-building mechanics, but a lack of polish in key places really hold it back.
