I thought I might actually push through the petty rng-based sudden deaths, but on my 4th death so close to the end(yep, that's how short and surprisingly enjoyable it is, that I tried 4 times), it just didn't feel worth trying again. Still, says a lot that I even tried it that many times, and it truly felt like a to-the-point adventure. That being said, I didn't really want to like it: it should have held to the anti-war message of the book/original movie, instead it was some part II that celebrates killing Vietnamese people. Again, though, the fact I couldn't help but try and try again means it's a surprisingly well-done text adventure, for being a straight-up text adventure and for being from 1985. So I begrudgingly had to give it a 2 star heh...
