In Dog's Life you play Jake the puppy, as he explores the USA in an attempt to foil a fiendish plot. Miss Peaches doesn't like dogs, and sees them as a way of making money, by dog-napping Daisy the pedigree dog. The dog elements are closely integrated into the game - smells are indicated by lines of coloured smoke, emphasising a dog's acute sense of smell. Locating footprints is also done via this Smellovision mode. Tricks can be learnt, and used to win treats from humans. Jake must explore vast environments and interact with 15 breeds of dog. The aim is to get them onto his side, which is usually done by either having more bones than them, or winning a subgame against them. These are also dog-based - in one you must dig up bones, while another has you 'marking territory' to annex a full screen. Read less

Sorprendente

Fdo.: La Srta. Peaches peaches peaches pichispichis.

This is one of those games that I’m embarrassed to admit that in deep down in somewhere childhood memories…I like this game. This game has no reason to be so enjoyable. Everything is mediocre expect the writing that can be clever sometimes. Otherwise, it just is, no more no less.

Kind of spoilers You are a dog name Jake and you try to save your crush for becoming a cat food…yeah that’s the plot.

Then why, every time I see this game I feel a bit warm and nostalgic. I played this again as an adult and even though I saw myself “wasting” my time I still wore those nostalgic goggles and felt like the kid that snuck out of the bed on Saturday morning to play videogames before mum called for breakfast. I have played many games from my childhood and those are often ruined by adult criticism but sometimes there is one when nostalgic can kill the boring adult in me.
