One of the Legend of Old RPG

Such a change of pace compared to my previous game, FF XVI. FFXVI is more matured and depressing at that, while TGFR full of funny skits and lighten the mood.

I actually never play the original since i never had PS3 lol

But i love Tales series so much, its second to Final Fantasy series .
But seeing the direction of FF going, Tales might become number one for me.

Tales > FF > Trails > Dragon Quest . IMO so no need to argue .

I enjoyed the game a lot. I even play the DLC till finished which is very rare.

I LIKE :

  • Combat fast and smooth . Can controlled other characters . Need to learn all the mechanics not simply mash buttons like FFXVI.
  • The skits and Win quotes are my absolute favorite. Pascal such an airhead lol in fact they all dorkies including the captain lol
  • VA's are awesome.
  • Got customes.
  • 2D Animations is love <3 i always prefer 2D compared to 3D.
  • Banger opening song.
  • Puzzles and minigame are ok, not too hard or frustrating. (no single puzzles or minigames in FFXVI lol). Goodluck who never play Tales series for the minigame .
  • No single issue with PC performance.
  • the DLC is 10 hours long ! its direct sequel instead and explained the post credit scene ! Not gonna spoil u guys but finish it if u can .
  • Richard can be use again in DLC.

I DONT LIKE :

  • MC .... are so damn naive. since he a kid, then grow up and DLC. I just cant. Luckily the rest of the casts are fun. Tsundare cheria hehe
  • No MAP wtf . Just compass. But they implemnt a pointer to goal... allright i guess.
  • No fast travel wtf Too many backtracking !! its insane. i actually had to trained just to increase movement speed , aint no way.
  • No journal... Dev .. how do i keep track of side quest if no markers , no journal and no nothing when its pop up??

Overall solid 8.5/10 from me . Cant wait for Tales of Xilia remastered !

I hope my personal fav will be mastered too ! Tales of Abyss <3
