It was mid-July and me and my daughter were choosing our next game, possibly on Switch, considering it was vacation time. We went for Mario vs. Donkey Kong, remake of a game I had never played (I did play its father though, the Game Boy version of Donkey Kong). Even though I’m generally not attracted by remakes, this had co-op so why not? And it’s a lovely remake, modern enough (with some things made more simple) but still respectful of the core experience, with cute new graphics and quite smart in how it implements co-op. We had so much fun, became addicted and fully completed every single stage. My daughter also pushed me to tackle the time attack (another cool addition in the remake), which doesn’t allow co-op: she had fun just watching me struggle with it. But we didn’t complete that because we ended up getting distracted by some other game. Anyway, it’s very good.
By the way, when I looked the game up here on Grouvee I found out I actually did play the original when I received it on 3DS through the Ambassador Program. I even wrote a review! I guess I will soon forget who I am.
