Strong start for season 2
Bad santas are always funny and this is a strong start of the second season but its nothing out of the ordinary. Expect a traditional adventure which is good but without much surprises.
As a whole the series is a nice point and click but not extraordinarily good. Simply a good quality game with lots of funny comments from both Sam and Max as well as the supporting characters.
Despite some clever lines, this episode leans a bit too hard into Sam & Max's mean-spirited elements. Sam & Max is at its strongest when it grounds itself in a subject complex enough to riff on, and the parody of A Christmas Carol just doesn't have the same depth as the political or internet episodes of season one. It's all just a bit too one-note.
