Free to play model sucks the joy out of what could otherwise be a fun game.

The Mother Barbs video cassets have to be my favourite thing. They are beyond perfect.

I installed this the day it was released. How have I only started it up now?

My god this game is amazing! Just the intro alone was fantastic.

Ehh...

I dig the art style, the humour, the... Suda-ness of it all BUT, the actual game is a Dark Souls-lite pay-to-win so no thank you.

This wasn't really the Grasshopper game that I wanted. I was more excited for Lily Bergamo even though there wasn't really a whole lot known. But anyway, it transformed into Let It Die, a F2P Dark Souls-lite, and from the moment I saw it in its current form, I was considerably less excited. I knew I'd try it because a) it's free so why not? and b) because I love Suda, but I went into it less eager than other games.

The good is that it still has the silly, violent and sexual style of a Suda game. The combat is okay but less than the series that influenced it (and I've been critical of Dark Souls so take that as you will), and it's ultimately kinda fun because of those reasons.

However, the bad is that the F2P model is stupid and it really does seem built to get all your money, the roguelike nature feels less rewarding than in other games of this ilk, and the randomly generated areas seem to use a lot of the same stuff.

I'm part of the Suda niche, but this is like the sub-niche of the niche that I'm not a part of. Dark Souls fans who want something more zany and quicker can apply here and probably get more enjoyment out of it than I did. Oh well, on to the next game!

Uncle Death is cool, though.
