9/10 - Exceptional
ARCADE SPORTS - This sequel expands and improves upon everything that made the first Windjammers game so fun and addicting.
PROS:
++ Excellent sequel. Great improvement from the first game.
++ Visuals & animations. Eye-popping visuals and art style, and incredibly smooth animation.
++ Skill-based gameplay. Gameplay is easy to learn but has depth. It is a skill-based game, and ā¦

++ New content. New characters, powers, and stages are all welcome additions.
++ Simple, but competitive. Perfect couch party game.
CONS:
-- Offline content. Lacking any meaningful offline content for solo players
-- Lackluster tutorial.
-- No unlockables. No unlockable costumes, modes, stages, etc.

Still as demanding as its predecessor.
Windjammers 2 is an enjoyable throwback that proves its unique sport is still a blast, but the thrill is fleeting. Iām happy to see it return; I just wish it gave me more reasons to step on its court more often.

Hit silver rank, moving on up! It's really nifty how options which initially seem weak or confusing, like jumps and tosses, turn out to be extremely useful once you get a handle on how they work.

Still loving Windjammers 2, but the game has several important mechanics that aren't explained by the tutorial at all! Would be cool if they gave you the information you needed to understand how to play.

- Fun, inviting aesthetic
- Controls feel just as good as the original
- New mechanics are all well-thought out and make an already fantastic game even better
- It's Windjammers, baby!!
CONS
- A lot of critics are complaining about the barebones single-player options which is pretty silly if you ask me, Chess isn't a whole lot of fun single-player either

Switched over to the WiiU pro controller and honestly I'm not sure why I didn't do so years ago, such a comfy design and one of the best d-pads ever.
Anyways, I'm having some minor success with my main Sophie De Lys, love that she randomly has tonfa that she takes out and twirls around after winning a match.

I'm not very good at Windjammers yet but I'm having a ton of fun throwing the flying power disc! My 8bitdo controller thumbstick is probably a little too hard on my thumb for this game though, ouch.

Windjammers is simply one of the best 1v1 games of all-time and I am happy to report DotEmu did the original justice!
