A game that is like a mystery novel but you are the one driving the narrative.
Warning You have to go into this game completely blind to get the most out of it. It has 0 replay value because once you know the story that's kinda it.

Warning You have to go into this game completely blind to get the most out of it. It has 0 replay value because once you know the story that's kinda it.
This game doesn't give you anything but the exposition. Everything else you have to find and take the time to read for yourself. This is where having a strong sense of curiosity and a love of piecing things together are necessary traits. You are alone in this small town, no time limit and no easy list of quest objectives either. You do keep a journal but not everything you find will be written down in it so taking your own notes is encouraged.
I don't think this game is for everyone because it has a very leisurely approach to it. However, because it leaves everything up to you to figure out, there is a greater reward of accomplishment when you piece things together. There might be points where you are stuck and not sure where to go next but I if you are willing to look and investigate everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) there is usually enough bread crumbs to get you back on track.
Although a big part of that is how everyone that lived here kept journals and updated them frequently. Probably the most unrealistic thing here. XD
I really enjoyed this game and really want more like it!
