The game is amazing! You can choose which side you are, unlock epic characters, there are a ton of different mobile suits you can pilot, the mechanics are great, you can improve your mobile suits, the missions are challenging, third and first person is available and the missions reference the anime episodes and OVAS. If you're Gundam fan, you'll probably love this game, but you really don't have to be one to like it, as a mecha/battle/war game, it's amazing independently. Of course you might get spoilers about the animes if you haven't watched them yet, but if you did watch them, the game will offer an even richer experience. The controls might sound a bit stiff at first, but the impression I got is that it was intentional, because it makes the game realistic and you get to upgrade the mobile suits and make them faster with higher mobility later on. If I were to make this game even better, I would add more game modes, with more stages (because we all want more stages, right?), with a story mode for the main characters (not just the general Gundam story you play as a soldier/unlocked pilots), maybe a more expanded mode where you can have your own fleet and conquer colonies/cities with different possible endings depending of the missions outcomes and your choices. What I'm trying to say is that they did an amazing job with the game mechanics, the songs, the sound effects and everything, so expanding the gameplay would make things even better, in my opinion. I'm a huge fan of this game (and its successors), I would love if they were remastered and released for new consoles/ or got their own expanded versions with more game modes and stages. It's among my favorite games ever until today.
