Beat on loan from my coworker. I started as Cecilia and found it refreshing to play as a female and healer rather than the stereotypical male warrior type. I believe my preferred party members were Rafael and Ignus. The entire ragnafact weapon system was novel and interesting, but it was also interesting that it took a while for Ignus to get one, so he had to use the normal breakable weapons.

After beating her path I went newgame+ for Levant's story. Preferred team was Irene and Ciel. It was quite interesting that there is no healer on this path, so I had to keep a stock of healing items. By the time I reached the end, my final team was Cecilia, Levant and Rafael. Cecilia and her team were overall more powerful because I spent more time wandering around and getting into fights.

This was a fun game but it was too easy, even on Hard. Pretty sure I played Cecilia on Normal and Levant on Hard, because Hard is not unlocked until you beat the game. I found the Hexyz force color system in battle to be a bit confusing and largely ignored it since the game was so easy. While it was an enjoyable experience, I would not want to buy it to play again.

6.8/10.
