A Must-Play For Dune And Strategy Game Fans. But Strategy Games Exhaust Me After A While

Impressive Look, basic auto-save feature way ahead of time, huge scope. So many interesting ideas and as someone who has read the first novel and seen the Lynch and Villeneuve movies, I am impressed with how much this interacts with the novel's concepts. Main negative is overwhelming and don't see myself pushing through ti all, but very impressive. Even after reading the manual I can't figure out how to get the music on lol, but once I do, if the music is good, it'll be worth pushing through. No matter what I do, even having found ways to edit the BAT file, the music options are grayed out >.< I had to manually install the game and re-configure the sound settings etc etc but I got sound! And it seems worth it so far! (To note, I am playing the non-voiced, floppy, original version not voiced CD version)
Well shoot this will be quite the commitment but seems worth it. Amazing Look and Sound, and based on a novel and films I love.
Day 1
It continues to be beautiful and engaging, even with the Strategy elements. Frequent sunsets and sunrises? Count me in for that aspect of the Look :-p
Day 2
I'm beginning to burn out on the strategy elements. It's still waymore than I've engaged with a strategy game so far, but meh. I wish you could tell sietches what equipment to look for and where.
Yea sure enough more and more it became a game of diplomacy and strategy and, indeed, Spice acquisition. Which certainly is fitting, but not what I look for. Would have loved to get to after the
Look: 8.5/10 Excellent
Sound: 8/10
Play: 7.5/10 Boosted it .5 since it's the most I've engaged with a strategy-heavy game so far.
Feel: 8/10
Attachment: 7.5/10 Again, it's one I wont forget and will watch playthroughs of, and have a desire to play all the way through, but not sure that I see myself doing so.
Overall: 7.9/10
