This is a JRPG in which your abilities are drawn from a deck that is built by equiping items. This is a really nice system similar to that of Northmark: Hour of the Wolf. The Huntsman also has nice graphics and an ok-ish story. It also has a -very limited- text adventure element.

Unfortunately, the pace is overly languid and you have no control over what items you get. In Northmark you can actually buy cards, here you only get them as loot. The game is also almost completely linear, aside from a couple of sidequests. Instead of letting you roam freely and develop on your own you have to follow the path set out by Desert Owl Games. It's just not very interesting.

The first chapter took me 40 minutes to complete. They want €18 for the remaining four chapters. I honestly wouldn't even recommend it at a quarter of that price.
