Used to play this a lot during the last year of my High School, when these games were still considered cool. I had a classmate who also played actively, so we always picked it up after some time to beat the current record of each other. By the end of High School I think I won with 86 being the record in the whole class.

I recently picked it up again due to my feet injury mostly immobilising me (also not many options to go outside these days). The game is mostly the same what it was years ago with a few added side activities and events. You expand your zombie army, trying to capture as many humans as possible, without losing all of them to the various dangers, like landmines, moving vehicles and giant holes. You turn pedestrians, flip vehicles if you have enough zombies to do so and activate occasional bonus abilities, like one Giant Zombie, Ninja zombies or my favourite, the literal Zombie tsunami. You can even update your abilities to be more effective and buy special abilities from the ingame store. Unfortunately some of these are sold for a premium currency, which can be bought for real money or earned through completing daily challenges. These abilities are too over powered for my taste, using one of them (turning all cars to coins) helped me to my new best score of 102.

You can also buy helper birds (who came up with that?), which provide some help in the field, take part in challenges where the prices increase with the difficulty or just customize your Z-s with caps if that's your thing.

Me personally spent too much time doing missions to unlock more upgraded abilities, but the grind is boring, considering the gameplay stays the same every round you play in any game mode. I also repeated my 86 record from the past without any help bought, so I'm proud to myself, but it's time to move on and find some new (or old, but long forgotten) mobile games to entertain myself.
