Short and fun (also sometimes frustrating)

This quick puzzle platformer was fun. I beat it in about 5 hours across a week of playing. This quick puzzle platformer was fun. I beat it in about 5 hours across a week of playing. The puzzles were perfect for me; enough to keep me guessing and trying but never so difficult that I felt like giving up. It was a nice combination of logic and timing puzzles. There's no narration but there's still a story. It's a bit trite but it works. I can definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes that kind of thing.

It worked perfectly on my Deck.

Probably my favorite cinematic platformer

Full void is a very pretty cinematic platformer set in a dystopian sci-fi world. It reminds me a lot of Inside and Stranger Things, with a strong 80s nostalgia. I really enjoyed it, more than I have almost any other in the genre.

Cinematic platformers live and die by beautiful environments, which this definitely captures. Dystopian cityscapes, labs, subway stations… all with a very strong art direction.

The puzzles are pretty fun, but not the highlight. They are often challenging but not overly so, usually taking a minute or two to decipher. The level design is solid though, I loved weaving my way in and out of the site of killer droids and environmental disasters.

It has the slow realism that the genre is known for, so it isn’t for everyone. It’s closer to a point and click adventure than a typical 2D platformer. That said, it offers a pacing and storytelling not found anywhere else - and Full Void truly does it best.
