I'll state the obvious first: If you enjoyed Dave the Diver, you'll enjoy this DLC. While the basic structure is "more of the same," the mechanics remain solid and fun. The sections in Utaru Village and the new characters are very welcome additions that give the game a sense of community where Dave finally gets the respect he deserves at a narrative level. Some of the new minigames and activities—mainly the turn-based combat—don't quite fit in. They're not necessarily bad, but they do disrupt the otherwise excellent pacing of the game.

But the incredible best thing is: zero fat jokes. I hated how in the base game characters just cannot stop commenting on Dave's body shape. There's none of that in this DLC and its better for it.
