So mid, yet I find it kind of oldchool charming
Graphics are mediocre. Deckbuilding is not freeform, there are 4-5 viable decks per character. Gameplay is punishing and requires replaying same battles if you die.

Graphics are mediocre. Deckbuilding is not freeform, there are 4-5 viable decks per character. Gameplay is punishing and requires replaying same battles if you die.
And yet, because of how tight the difficulty balance is, I keep playing this every once in a while. And in some way, having a fixed deck removes the overhead of worrying about your deck. So it becomes less random dependent, more about figuring out how to rotate each deck vs certain enemy compositions.
If you play perfectly, most of the time you'd take 0 damage, which I always liked in tactical games. Mistake = damage. Quick feedback loop.
Still, I bet not everyone will like this game, there are more exciting alternatives in the genre.
