Beat on Hard using mostly the bounce shot, which I found to be far superior to the other weapons due to being able to hit from safe angles. It even made some bosses trivial. The spread shot was ok but lacked the room clearing potential of bounce, while the laser had the best straightforward damage. I hated accidentally losing bounce from picking up power ups; game would have been better if you could switch between the 3 shot types on the fly. The levels were expansive and felt like a Metroidvania, though it was occasionally difficult to find the goal; a map would have helped tremendously. Lots of platforming and hazards, but nothing too difficult. I found the ball form useful because it made you invulnerable. Most platforming fails just waste your time and I especially liked how enemies did not respawn. Most of the bosses were pretty good and I was impressed with how platforming challenges were incorporated into the boss fights. I must not have played the Turrican game that this was based on, so can't comment on whether it was a shameful reskinned cashgrab or not. I can only go by what I played and I enjoyed …

Very comparable to the Super Turrican games, but a little more simple. I played a SNES rom which was apparently never released.
