This review is for the Nintendo DS version
A miniature version of Age of Empires II with a history based story for each leader. The gameplay was solid. It scaled in difficulty with Joan of Arc being very easy at the start, then an easy Japanese leader, a medium English leader, and an Arab leader with difficult missions.
There is technological advance but not much. The art style and units are purely realistic. Gameplay was commonly just invent catapult and wheel them to the front line.
