This is a very cool story about how Digital Eclipse and NetherRealm managed to save a very rare version of MK III and included it in the Legacy Collection.

I love Mortal Kombat, so I´m happy with the fact that almost every classic Mortal Kombat is now playable nowdays through modern gaming systems with cool graphic enchancements. All Mortal Kombat fans, those who feel nostalgia or curiosity about the series, and those looking to study it MUST experience this fantastic collection. Digital Eclipse continues to demonstrate that they are not only masters at reviving classics, but that true video game preservation requires a wealth of documentary context, which they are willing to provide.
Almost everything is here, even the original comics made by John Tobias. I know we weren't going to have the games from the PS2 era onwards, but there's still a few things missing, mainly the home versions of MK4 and MK Gold.

Also missing: online lobbies and ranked play. These are coming in a later update I'm told (at least the lobbies).
