I am house-sitting for family for the next few days, so it's just been me and a funny cat I'm taking care of killing time together. One thing I did is watch through the rest of Blippo+, which ended up being the perfect remedy for my lonely feeling in an unfamiliar home. Much like a lonely couch potato hooking into an otherworldly block of programming!
A lot like Hypnospace Outlaw, I didn't find anything really laugh-out-loud funny (Except Clone Trois) and I didn't find the overarching plot as interesting as the initial setup, but more light chuckles and an overwhelming comfiness from the sheer dedication to the fuzziness, scuzziness and unpredictability of a particular era of public-access television. So many great characters you get to know throughout, too! I miss the feeling of flipping through channels and not knowing what I'd get... unfortunately all of TV is not made by the creators of Blippo+, so it's no fun. I miss video rental stores for the same reason. I think I'm just a very nostalgic person. I think a part of your spirit is left in the year you were born and so this work speaks to me.
But that's just my opinion.
Don't have access to my Playstation so I've put Silent Hill f and Sonic Racing Cross Worlds on the back burner, but I love them both and am looking forward to returning soon. I've got my laptop to loop all my favourite stuff on YouTube and my Switch so I have no shortage of stuff to play.
I really look forward to the making-of featurette on the production. Honestly I'll be there day one for whatever else this group puts out in the future.
