Not a bad expansion, but I didn't love it. New enemies are fine, but really with the combat here there isn't much room for anything but more damage/health. The main story is serviceable. I didn't feel like it developed meaningfully in any direction before wrapping up. The other quests are OK, but just feel like advanced fetch quests (wait...fuck...the whole game is just fetch quests, punctuated by the occasional assassination quest, isn't it? I hadn't put that together until writing this just now....well shit...). The new weapons don't feel special. The Microwave Emitter you get is fine, but it doesn't feel more powerful than anything you got in Mothership Zeta. Also, Fallout as a franchise is usually better than most when it comes to info dumps. But these terminals I felt had more content on them. Of course it's all optional fluff, but it's just something I noticed. The setting was a nice change, and looked OK, but it's not varied enough to be interesting for long. Those swampfolk are actually creepy looking, though, and I appreciate that.
