Strong game with a top notch soundtrack. Some of the story adjustments are a bit questionable, but not outlandish enough for me to not enjoy it. 8/10

Didn't think I would finish this last night but I did, and I am happy. Might read the plot of the original because I do not understand some of what happened. Why did we fight Sephiroth, and how is he the big bad now when all he did so far (that I know of) is kidnap the purple root creature from the lab? Interested in playing Rebirth but it's not on the top of my list so that's probably not going to happen anytime soon.

Really enjoying my time with this one. I particularly like how weapon upgrades work and materia distribution planning. The pacing seems a little off to me though, seeing that I am six chapters and eight hours in and so little has the plot progressed.
