  • Played the original arcade/famicom release in the DD/KK collection
  • Really enjoyed pulling off those powered jump shots and catching the ball
  • The last team in the world cup story mode was USA and they were a bit too tough

I've only played the NES version and didn't know it was based on a significantly different arcade version. I remember having quite a bit of fun with it playing with friends. Super shots were pretty cool although some were much better than others. Haven't tried any of the sequels but this is one I'd like to see make a comeback …

played it on tg16 last night. it quite fun. i am looking for non traditional arcade style sports games like this to play with mates. i know of a few (pigskin, mutant league) but they cant be as good as this one
