Rare Replay is a 2015 compilation of 30 video games previously developed by Rare and its predecessor, Ultimate Play the Game, in their 30-year combined history. The emulated games span multiple genres and consoles - from the ZX Spectrum to the Xbox 360 - and retain the features and errors of their original releases with minimal edits. The compilation adds cheats to make the older games easier and a Snapshots mode of specific challenges culled from parts of the games. Player progress is rewarded with behind-the-scenes footage and interviews about Rare's major and unreleased games. GoldenEye 007 is added to the game library of anyone who purchases a digital copy of Rare Replay. Upon GoldenEye 007's release on Xbox One/Series consoles, it was retroactively added to the game library of anyone with a prior purchase of a digital copy. Read less

Because of the new achievement system on the Xbox Ones, wherein they actually tell you what percentage of gamers actually unlock something, this means there's a handful of achievements in Rare Replay that are actually designated "rare" and idk man I just think that's kinda cute.

The level of love that went into this is just amazing. I hope Rare starts making more goofy platformers again someday, but especially want a third Viva Pinata.

As soon as I got home from the store with this game, a power surge fried my Xbox. I’m pissed but at least I can laugh about it in the future.

Definitely an Xbox Must Buy

Honestly with the way folks are price-gouging for some of these older games, it is pure insanity to NOT have this in your collection. Just for the sheer joy of playing Banjo Kazooie, Conker, and Viva Pinata ((among other good gems!)) On a much higher quality format! I had a lot of fun replaying these and trying out older games …

How do you reconcile games like Rare Replay when it comes to keeping track of your collection? Do you consider it as one backlog game or thirty?
